Recently, Amazon has made some Amazon VTR updates to some policy requirements announced in early March.
According to the feedback from businesses, Amazon has made the following changes to the requirements for confirming delivery:
Amazon VTR is updated to June 16. As of yesterday, June 16, 2021, Amazon requires you to:
1. Provide the name of the delivery service provider
You must provide the name of the delivery service provider (i.e. carrier, e.g. Royal Mail) used for all merchant fulfilled orders. You should make sure that the carrier name you provide matches the list of carriers available in the drop-down menu of the seller center, otherwise you will not be able to confirm your order.
Provide delivery service name: in the process of delivery confirmation, providing delivery service name (i.e. delivery method, e.g. Royal mail24) is no longer mandatory for orders performed by merchants. However, we encourage you to provide one.
Please note: if Amazon manages the shipping time on your behalf (delivery setting Automation), providing delivery service information at the time of delivery confirmation will help Amazon optimize customers’ commitment to your asin.
2. Tracking ID of completed orders
You must provide Amazon with a tracking ID for merchant distribution orders delivered using tracking delivery.
If you use Royal mail24 ® Or Royal mail48 ® Shipping method, please make sure you provide a unique package ID (above the 2D barcode on the label). If you do not provide a valid tracking ID, you will not be able to confirm your shipment unless you choose an untracked shipping service (e.g. stamps).
3. Maintain 95% VTR
You must maintain a 95% VRT for domestic delivery of orders received on Amazon UK over a rolling period of 30 consecutive days. A domestic shipment is one that you ship from your UK address to your UK delivery address.
Amazon will measure the VTR of domestic shipments performed by merchants at the category level delivered by a transportation service provider integrated with Amazon to provide scanning information. However, please note that in order to calculate the VTR, if you provide the same name of the untracked delivery method as the name in the delivery service drop-down menu on the confirm shipment page, Amazon can only exclude the shipment from the untracked delivery method (you can also refer to the list of carriers and delivery methods here).
