In December 3rd, the old fellow railway was opened and operated, and the first international train was sent from KunMing Railway Station. The next day, the first international cold chain freight train of China and old fellow Railways was driven out of Kunming, and left via Yuxi, Puer and Jinghong to Mohan port. The next day, it arrived at Vientiane South Station in Laos. The success of this special train marks the first international cold chain freight train dedicated to Kunming old fellow rail International Airport to Wanxiang south station.
The cold chain train starting from Kunming carries Yunnan characteristic vegetables, with a total of 33 cold chain containers. On the return trip, it carries tropical fruits from Thailand and Laos. After returning to Kunming tengjun international dry port, the special train will be delivered to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Kunming tengjun international dry port has a highway and railway multimodal transport center Bonded Logistics Center (type b), large normal temperature intelligent storage area and cold chain storage area can meet the needs of distribution and shipment of various goods and various trade modes. At the same time, Kunming tengjun international dry port has established a service network in Laos and Thailand to provide domestic and foreign goods collection, storage, cross-border logistics, customs declaration and customs clearance, train transportation and terminal distribution for China’s goods export and Laos and Thailand’s goods import Delivery and other comprehensive services.
At the early stage of operation, old fellow railway stations, Yuanjiang station, Ninger station, Yat Xiang valley station, Mengla station and Mohan station can handle freight business. Nadui station, Luang Prabang station, Vientiane south station and other stations are set in the foreign section, which can handle freight business.
Start at dawn and arrive at dusk to the border between China and old fellow, and the journey will be shortened from 2 days to 3 hours. For Thailand fruit, if the goods pass through the old fellow railway from Thailand to Kunming, the average cost per ton of goods will be 30%-50% lower than that of road transportation, and the time cost will be greatly reduced.
